Didn't see a thread for it yet: https://twitter.com/RetroBitGamin...

A little disappointing that they'd go to a game that's already been released here and isn't really super expensive (I suspect this will be $60+ so it's not like it's much cheaper). But Metal Storm is a sweet game and their Holy Diver CE was really good if you like heavy, compact boxes full of knick knacks you'll never use, so I'm definitely in on this.

This is awesome. It better not be any more expensive than holy diver or r-type. While they are on an Irem roll, they should also bring out Spartan x2 (aka kung fu 2) and Hammering Harry

Yeah I'm definitely into one focused release rather than a multicart, although their multicarts have been mostly full of budget games anyway that no one would want a single release of.

It's nice to see a re-release for this hidden gem. I was rather bummed at having missed the boat to get a copy for $50 after it nearly doubled in price within the span of 2-3 months back in 2014. Luckily it's come back down a tad, though is still out of reach for most gamers.

I doubt I'll go for this, but those sweet posters might change my mind. I agree that Hammerin' Harry 1 & 2 should be next on their Irem list.

Looks nice, not for me but I can appreciate the effort. You know this game had a very unrelated spiritual successor on GBC in its late life using a very different IP from an old cartoon. Wendy Every Witch Way uses the same gravity mechanics in a shooting platformer type game with her instead of a mech.

One of the pricier CIBs for GBC now. I blinked and it went from like $40 to $250.

Given that Holy Diver didn't even sell out I wonder how this will fare.

"The Bug" has bitten again. Just in time to see how far up CIB prices have gone too

Hammerin Harry would be cool but a major disappointment because the game is so short. It isn't that hard and I think can be beaten in like 15 mins.

Ill never understand a collector site that wants this overpriced crap. Get an Everdrive or collect the real thing. What is the point of a repro of an already released US game?

People want a legit official copy of the game but they can’t pay the price that the market is currently demanding for it. The IP owner gets license royalties for basically doing nothing. The publisher makes a little profit. It’s win-win-win for everyone.

If you look at how much it costs to put this stuff together on your own if you were to buy the cart parts and cardboard, and the time it takes to program and put it all together(if you value your time) it’s actually a pretty good value

Not everyone is rich or wants to mess around with files on SD cards with a console that, as far as they're concerned, takes cartridges in a plug n play style.
