I am staying in Overland Park tonight and will be in Kansas City tomorrow. I googled video game stores and there are 10+ options. I need to narrow it down to two. Anyone know of a good place to buy retro video games?

Why narrow it down to 2? Go to all!

Always refer to the list: http://nintendoage.com/forum/mess...

Add ones you find.

I don't think I could narrow it down to just 2, there's a bunch of game store in that area. I went to most of the Vintage Stock stores around Kansas City. They all had pretty decent selection.

GamecoKC had a lot of good stuff too. I spoke to the owner when I was there and he seemed like a pretty nice dude. If you can only go to 2, make this one of them. Mainly because its locally owned, not a chain.

Probably too late for this, but get into up down if you can. It's the Mecca of barcades. Every machine is set to a quarter and they have EVERYTHING, and I mean everything - so many machines that I had no idea ever existed plus every classic. The tvs have 90s programming somehow and the walls are covered in 90s tv and pop star art. Coolest place I've been to in my life with a great beer selection to boot. A must see even if you can only briefly walk through and play a few games.

Thanks for the tip. Gameco was a good store to hit. They had n64 carts buy 2 get 1 free. Bought a few of those and a couple nes commons. It was a successful trip...
