I just set up my AVS but I can't get games to work. The menu screen comes up when I power on, and I'm able to select all the different options, but when I try to start a game I get a black screen. Double checked that it was set on NTSC, tried it with three different games (SMB2, SMB3, Ninja Gaiden) and nothing. SMB3 went to a white screen after a while but that's it. Any ideas of what could be wrong?

Game fully inserted? The pins on a new one are usually pretty tight and need a bit of gentle but firm pushing to go in. They loosen up the more you use it.

Do they games work fine in a regular sustem? If I have any issues at all I always to a quick cleaning.

Yeah. The games work fine on my toaster. I clean all my games when I get them so it's not that.

Problem solved. I just had to fidget with the carts a little more.

It'll improve over time.

It's working great now. I haven't had any more trouble getting games to start.
