This VINTAGE Nintendo Entertainment System CHALLENGE SET is not only New in the box, the box has not been opened since it left the factory. The story of the Nintendo I am offering is as follows. It was won by me as a consolation prize on Jeopardy back in the 90's. Since I wasn't a gamer, I never unpacked it, but put it away in a closet. The unopened NINTENDO CHALLENGE SET box is still in its original mailing carton. As part of the consolation prize, the generous folks at TV's Jeopardy also included Super Jeopardy, Wheel Of Fortune, and five InfoGenius Productivity Paks. That's right, you get French, Spanish, Spell Checker, Travel Guide, and Personal Organizer as well as SUPER MARIO 3 (see photos) What a sweet deal! All seven extra games / learning software have never been opened, and are still in their original plastic wrap. The box also includes: 2 controllers, user's manual, power adapter, cables, and more. This great selection is around 20 years old, but you'll think you've used a time machine when you are the first to open these boxes and play on!

This is an extremely rare group of items. You can check ebay, and elsewhere! You'll find ONLY ONE similar item on ebay priced more than twice what I'm asking, and that one doesn't have the extra cool extra games. This is the one you want!

what do you mean by upsell? Make a profit?

$850 sounds like a lot of money for this, too much.

ya that looks new...I mean how do we really know if a system is "Brand New". Did they seal the plastic wrap around the console and controllers in the box?

i don't think that one is new. the challenge set SMB 3 came with a "challenge set" sticker on the front of the box. I don't even think that is the right SMB3 box for that set up. I'd steer clear of "new" nintendo systems unless you are without a doubt, positively 100% certain the contents were never used. For the money that people want for "new" systems I rather be certain that I am getting exactly that... a new system.

didn't the SMB3 box that went with the challenge set have a big sticker on it that said challenge set like 5 times?... I remember bidding on a few on feebay that had that on the box
