They may be able to catch one or two of their members but the problem is they're not all that connected from my understanding so that if someone is caught the rest don't go down with them, and they also keep tiers of status or something to that effect. If they're threatening that and it is a legit video by them, consider it truth and done with facebook on borrowed time until they let up the assault. They are right it's crap what facebook does and is shady about it too, but short of somehow permanently kicking them offline I can't see how much can easily be done about it unless some law is made to put the pinch on them in the US.

I don't think this is legit. It's not like Anonymous to "distroy" a website. They would just make it impossible to get on until Facebook apoligies. Then return it unharmed. I really don't think this is real... But I have been wrong before!

They did take down Sony's site, but they aren't anything serious like real hackers. Meh.

Haha, well, I both A.)Enjoy using Facebook and B.)Think it's a horrible thing, so I think it would be good if they did it. I do want to spend some time saving a few hundred pics that I would be upset to never see again if this happened though...

I'm sure they intend to hack the f*ck out of it, and bring it to its knees. While not "easy", I'm sure it's doable. Maybe they have an inside person? Or, maybe they intend on physically destroying the server farms?

finally watched this vid. one can wish they would destroy facebook. I know too many people that literally are on facebook 24/7.

That's laughable, and would guarantee they get caught and prosecuted for more than just hacking a website.


Anyway, I saw a hilarious web comic the other day that pointed out the fact that "hackers" taking down a website is the digital equivalent of just tearing down a propaganda poster.  It's not that big of a deal, in the greater scheme of things.  And it's worlds different than actually doing something serious like compromising credit card systems or bank accounts.

Yeah, what could anyone possibly do to facebook that would actually permenantly destroy it? They probably have offsite backups of everything in at least 2 places. They can repurchase hardware that is damaged. Whoever made this video is just talking out their ass. You want me to post another video showing how anonymous is going to hack the moon? It's not hard.
