Hey, what do you guys think of this.  I was wondering if we could add polls to each of the threads for each part of the magazine every month so that if people don't want to post comments they can at least vote on whether they thought the article or whatever was good.  This isn't to boot anyone out, but to give the authors a chance to hone their skills and get interested in receiving/asking for feedback, or just getting a general idea of how what they did was taken.  What do you guys think?

I think this could be a good idea if the authors want their stuff critiqued in that way.

It would probably be a good idea if the poll options were set up constructively, things like "needs more detail" or "should be longer/shorter" or "needs more pictures". Just having "good" vs "bad" would probably not work well.

You should've made this a poll.

(if it were, I would have voted yes)

I refuse to allow one of the options be "needs more pictures." If you write three pages worth of material, you aren't getting many pictures. There just isn't the space.

Its digital, add more pages I think mainly things like the previous game reviews have needed more screenshots.

Huh. Interesting idea! I can dig it. I've seen topics where people don't post, but they will vote on the poll (the most recent that comes to mind is the Golgo-13 thread). I could see something like this being cool for those that don't want to really speak out, but want to have their opinion heard... if that makes sense. I agree with bunny though, make some options that apply to the article/comic/price guide in question.

Good idea Stan : )

Lazy pricks. Just take a moment to verbally stroke your dear contributors! It's a free magazine, at least give them a shout out each month.

I'll give it a go next month and see how it does.

That's why I thought of just a general good/bad poll. There's no need to write a specific one, though I thought of it for a moment. I just thought for people who don't post or don't feel like it or whatever this would give each creator a general idea of how what they did was received. I think most of us can figure out what we need to work on if we get a low poll result.

I've a feeling the poll will wind up being more like the feedback here than anything. But it's fine, no sweat to put it on each thread. If the writers want that kind of positive reinforcement though, who am I to argue.
