Hey guys, any videographers/photographers on the forum? I'm looking for a 4K video/photo camera with interchangable lenses and external microphone input around $500 - $750.

I completely regret not having a good camera for my boys, and my new son is being born next month and I don't want to miss a moment of it, and seeing as how tomorrow is my birthday I figured I have a good excuse to buy myself something.

Anyway, yeah the budget is $500 - $750. Interchangable lenses and external mic isn't a *requirement* but it's on my wishlist.

Would a GoPro work? Nothing interchangeable but I use mine for all kinds of things.

Nah, I hate the bubble camera look.

what about a Sony Alpha a7R II. its more expensive but does 4k with interchangeable lenses. if not that i would just use a sony 4k handy cam or a phone with 4k capabilities
