Well, looks like I was gonna run into one of these in my lifetime. So buyer bought item and I shipped it to him and it says delievered. 10 days later, buyer disputed through Paypal claiming unauthorized charge. Click tracking shows item delivered. What do I do now to resolve this so I don't lose my money?

You should present all your evidence to PayPal. If you have a tracking number that shows as delivered that would definitely be needed. I don't believe it can be resolved through eBay once you initiate a dispute via PayPal.

Best case scenario would be to show a signature confirmation that the buyer signed for it. But at minimum you should have a tracking number. Without a tracking number you have no ground to stand on

Yeah, the tracking number is in Paypal and when I click on it through there it says delivered. I also made a picture of the package with his address and name at the post office. Would that be at least a enough to work with?

unauthorized charge wouldn't have anything to do with you. that's paypal's issue to resolve.

When I disputed a star tropics through ebay they said if it was received they would need confirmation it was sent back. It never shipped so I got my money back right away, I assume Paypal is the same way.

As long as it was shipped to a verified address you should be fine, if not, you may have been the victim of a scam. Definitely call PayPal and explain the situation either way

Seems like some sort of scam is going on here. So I messaged him on eBay and he said he did not do a dispute. A double check shows that the person disputed through their credit card company/financial institution and not through Paypal first, which results in the dispute being process on Paypal I believe.

Are you sure the email you got from Paypal about it was a legit one and not phishing?

Yeah it is legit. If I login to Paypal, it has an active dispute section on the main page with a link to the dispute.
 

So, seems like the dispute just closed on its own and the money is not on hold anymore. Pretty confused, but glad it worked out.

Person must have seen the charge and didn't recognize the PayPal name and started the unauthorized charge and then remembered once you reached out lol. Your evidence would have more than proved you had no wrong doing here.

I just got one also. First in years. Exact same story. Weird.
