Ratings key:
10 - One of your very favorite artists of all time.
9 - Killer fucking band.  Or artist.
8 - Great sound, great songs, great albums.
7 - Very good, but not quite great.
6 - Pretty good.  More than a few songs you like.  You'd entertain the thought of seeing them live if they were in the area.  Or still alive.
5 - They're okay, but maybe not something you'll go out of your way to listen to.
4 - Meh.  There may be a song or two, or an album that you dig, but you'd rather listen to other stuff.
3 - Not very good.  You will more likely than not turn the station if they come on the radio.
2 - Not your cup of tea at all.  Some people like this, but you are not one of them.
1 - Horrible in every way.
0 - In the running for worst artist/musician of all time.  You would rather take a cheese grater to your face than listen to this.

Current Standings:
6.66 - Prince
6.09 - Weezer
5.00 - Lady Gaga
4.66 - Avenged Sevenfold
4.53 - Bruno Mars
4.33 - Linkin Park
3.63 - My Chemical Romance

2/10. Some friends went to a concert and I tagged along for the hell of it when some else couldn't make it. We listened to some songs on the way there. Meh. I was thoroughly unimpressed with the show and liked one of the opening acts much better

Is it possible to add a "Never heard of them" option separate of the point scale?

You guys are high.

A7x Is a killer band, if not from a musician standpoint alone. The rev was an amazing drummer, anybody who is replaced by Mike Portonoy can't be that bad. Sure You might not like the lead singer's voice, and some of the songs get a little bit long. But the songwriting and musicianship is top notch. Listen to Sidewinder, or scream. I literally, once again, just don't know any of their songs. I'm sure I've heard a few while at stores or something and I do at least know the name, but I couldn't tell you the name of a single song.

Easy 6 for me. Talented from a musicianship standpoint, decent catalog, but a little on the lame-side when it comes to metal.

I only saw them once live, and that's because Ghost was the opening act. I was pleasantly surprised by A7x, but I wouldn't actively see them unless they were playing with another band I really wanted to see.

Also a 6 here. Could have been a 7 too, but I went with 6 since I usually don't actively seek their music out, but I listen to it when it comes on.

5. I've heard some of their songs, not bad, but nothing I'd go out of my way to listen to.

Nope.  At that point either dive in or abstain from voting.  I post a few of the more well-known songs so that everyone can make an educated guess at worst.

They are one of those bands I never liked when I heard them on the radio. Then I saw them open for Metallica in San Diego and really changed my mind. They are a good live band that doesn't come through well in their albums. 6.

These are the well known ones? Ive heard the first one but i think only because it was on a guitar hero i think. I had never heard the others. Last song, well ive heard worse so if i could change vote id make a 2/10 instead of a 1

I heard the ones posted. 2 from me.

The reason for the "never heard of them" wasn't to not cast a vote, but simply to indicated one had never previously heard of them.

He made it clear that he's not interested in people's thoughts about his pole in the last thread

Beast and the Harlot was in at least one video game (maybe one of the Burnouts?)
