Hows it going guys? I have a question about a tysons punch out box variant. I bought a Rev A silver seal box recently and i noticed the box tabs do not have a code on them. If im not mistaken only non rev a boxes would have this, correct? Every other tysons box ive seen with the silver seal rev A has a code printed on the box tabs so im not sure if this is something i should be concerned about? Any feedback would be great. Thanks!

I can't say I've ever noticed this one way or another. A quick glance at a few of my games generally shows that black box, non-Rev-A games do not have codes. All other non Rev-A games seem to have codes. See attached pictures of 1942 and 3D Worldrunner. I second the request for pics so we can further investigate.

Maybe someone else more educated on minor variants has some input?

Thanks for the replies guys. I will send some pics tonight. I have two tyson boxes, the other is the non rev A which also has blank box tabs which i know is correct, but looking at them both side to side they look identical. The colors seem correct and theres no real indication that the rev A one is a reproduction or anything.

I can't speak to Mike Tyson's Punch Out, but I know there are two box variants for Zelda that are Rev A with no box tab code.

I will check mine later tonight and compare to the pics you post. 

So maybe first party stuff only? We should get a list going.
