There's no law saying he has to finish it by THIS Christmas...just remember what happened to a certain other game that only had about 5-6 weeks or so to be rushed out the door by Christmas and how well that turned out (hint it was an Atari 2600 game from the early 80s based on a popular movie at the time).

I've been working on it, don't you worry! Alas, it is not finished yet. This is actually my first full graphics hack, and it's been a learning experience for sure! It isn't finished, but I bring you an update:

Is it just me, or are the bosses in this game really easy? It could be that I'm practicing a lot to work out the kinks, but they seem really easy compared to the other games...

Mega Man 5 is by far the easiest of the nes bunch.

Sorry for such a major length of time with no response, I put this on a backburner shortly after the holiday season. I won't lie, I haven't touched it in over six months...

I wasn't very active on here either, life comes first after all, but regardless, now that this thread has come to my attention again, (for some strange reason I never bookmarked it...) this is again on my to-do list. Looking back, my designs were/are terrible. I'm not too great at spriting... I'm considering scrapping the project and starting over. Shouldn't be too major a setback, I have too much free time anyways...

I have 2 projects in the works (including this), and a third planned. I've been knee deep in a Zelda rom hack for far too long, perhaps this would be a nice change of pace.

So, for those of you who wanted a progress report, here it is: 0% - starting over. (In a good way, better to put my best foot forward after all! I plan to see this finished by Christmas. No promises on a cart release, no point hyping up the world before I have an actual finished product...)

I doubt it, but hey, Christmas is known to be the host of many amazing miracles.

Sadly it doesn't look like it. Megaman got his first real job, and hasn't had much time for saving Christmas recently. I've got some time today and tomorrow, I'll see if I can throw a demo together from what  have done so far, but there's no chance of doing the concept justice before the day is upon us.

That's ok, there's always next Christmas to be saved! Still really looking forward to playing this when completed. Good luck with the project!
