From your experience which brand is best? Are they all pretty much the same or do some companies water theirs down? Meaning you are not getting a true 99%. Has anyone done any scientific research to see?

99% you probably have to get online or through a chemical supply shop. Amazon does have the Solimo brand for pretty cheap.

I use Target's Up & Up brand at 91% and never had an issue.

I've only used Swan 99% isopropyl alcohol. It seemed fine. I guess Ace Hardware sells it online by the gallon. I bought mine from Amazon.

They are all 91%

Thats the point of them. lol

No the brand doesn't matter. How would someone even know if they were having a problem with a slightly diluted alcohol conspiracy scheme?

Isoprop is isoprop is isoprop.

The price would be the biggest difference. I get my 91% from Walmart (cheap and convenient) and use it on cleaning almost everything.

Drink a small glass of different brands so you know exactly which one you like the most.

I don't think it's worth doing scientific research on this lol.

I think the alcohol breaks down into water over time so the easiest thing to do is to buy a fresh batch.

Yeah, but you can also get Tylenol-3 and cough syrup with codeine over the counter.

I'm more of a ~40 to 60% alcohol kinda guy. This really gets the job done for me.

Doesn't that get expensive if you have a big collection?

I'm pretty sure I have 99% at home, from off the shelf locally in Iowa somewhere.

Just blindfold yourself, have someone put three cups of CVS/Walgreens/RiteAid in front of you, drink each, and see which you prefer

^If it's good enough for Kitty Dukakis it's good enough for Game Paks

Still, you're better off with Weiman's for Game Paks anyway.

This.  They are on Amazon.  It is in my lineup of 3 most used items on a daily basis when at home:

1 - Swan 99% isopropyl alcohol
2 - A can of compressed gas/air
3 - Simple green concentrate at 50/50 in a big high grade spray bottle
