Hello,

Please forgive me for my ignorance, but is there a thread somewhere that houses the high scores from various games by Nintendo Age members? There are similar threads on other gaming websites, but I found it odd that I could not find one here. Do people just use Twin Galaxies? Does the leaderboard contest cover that?

If such a thread doesn't exist, why not? I thought it would be cool to have one large thread that contains various gaming titles and the leaders from NA that have achieved the highest scores in a each. It could be run just like the leaderboard contest with screenshots beings submitted, etc.

Again, please pardon my ignorance if I just missed this. If I did not, then I think this could really be something fun for everyone on these boards to take part in.

You can find the high scores of those who competed in past leaderboard competitions, but I don't think there's an official high score list anywhere on here. That would be nice to see though!

I would also love an NA site scoreboard. Would love to compare my stats to everyone else.

Well, we'd see Mog on top for everything, except tetris. That'd be Thor and Robin. lol

With TwinGalaxies in limbo, I'm all for keeping a scoreboard here on NA, I have kind of been hoping we would come up with one.

I think an official NA scoreboard is a cool idea.

Sounds like an awesome idea. I guess use the NES contest rules as guidelines for submitting scores. Having some sort of master list of all our scores would be cool.

I think that each score, when it is listed, the text should also be a link to the screenshot. It's always nice to see that actual score on the screen.

I remember Dain posting a picture of some contraption that was plugged onto a NES cart. I always wondered what that was and thought it might have something to do with the list of games he asked for that would be good to get high scores in.

Would it be possible that I start the thread and it be stickied? Or should a mod do it?

In my opinion there should be a new section called high scores. Within that section sticky 'nes' 'snes' 'n64' etc at the top. With in each topic make a list of games which links to a topic in that section and make a ttopic for each game. Then members can post their scores in the topics

Who would be a moderator/admin that would have the final word on this?

What's going on with TG, JD?

We've been working on a high score feature. I'm going to ask Paul to bug me 4 times a day to work on it because it's almost done, and I just need to wrap it up.

Can we start a thread in the mean time?

I think they're moving their site or something.

Apparently there's new ownership.  They're revamping the site and whatnot...supposed to be up and running by December, but nothing concrete.  There's a bulletin up at twingalaxies.com at the moment that pretty much says "we're working on changes, we'll be back soon."
