Took quite a while to track all of these down, but it was definitely worth it. Obviously the white and blue weren't USA release so I had to take an artistic license to that problem

Very nice set!

What is the price point on these? I sometimes find the Japanese equivalents (or perhaps they are the US releases), cheap (though loose), but never pick them up since I have no need for them.

Ah Gameboy...I always secretly wanted the clear one. The black one woulda been bad ass as well. The green really reminds me of my green pocket one..my original from childhood :3.

I actually ended up getting my original Gameboy from a very shady deal. It was outside our now closed Toys R Us in the parking lot and my parents and this guy hashed out a deal while I sat in the car. He was a really dodgy looking guy...like a drug dealer type (I bet he was a drug dealer since my mom used to get pot from dealers lol). Interesting what the mind can remember...shame I sold it years later...yet I still kept my pocket and color ones so explain that one to me. Maybe I hated how huge it was and liked the pocket better?

I still need Red and Yellow. Good job faking the Blue and White, though I guess it makes me question the authenticity of your other five more than anything. I've dreaded that someone would reproduce fake cardboard inserts for these. As far as I'm concerned the cardboard is like 80% of what matters when it comes to valuing these.

I paid under $50 for each of my mint CIB systems, and then I still have my original Green from childhood CIB with the inserts still intact and looking good, but none of mine are sealed (though sticker intact), and two of them don't have the original batteries anymore. I've seen auctions end for twice that price though, with paperwork missing (there should be four pieces of paperwork under the Game Boy - manual, precautions, Nintendo Power offer, Play it Loud poster)  I think the reality is that people are just "guessing" what these are worth, but I personally refuse to pay over $50 for them, and so far I haven't had to. Loose I wouldn't pay more than $15-20 total. I definitely have no desire to fake the white and blue like you have done, I just want the five real USA ones.

This has been the only set I've been trying to complete (and I've been trying for years), so naturally I'm pretty jealous of you, and unhappy anyone else collects these
I can still perfectly remember the day I got mine at Walmart in 1995, how beautiful they all looked displayed in the shelf. I've never seen one that had the sticker for the sunglasses either, that is very nice.

Haha, all of the rest are 100% legit with full inserts, and since I don't plan on selling them anyway it makes no difference

God, seeing that green one brings me back. Good work, buddy!

Here's a question: did ALL of the Play it Loud Game Boys come with some ROCKIN' SHADES or was that just early releases? I had the green one and I distinctly remember having the sunglasses. I LOVED those sunglasses.

No, in fact the only one I have that had them was the black one!

Well, unless you plan on wearing the glasses, I don't think I would sweat trying to find Game Boys that still have them. I'm kinda surprised by this, when I was a kid I was under the impression all the Play It Loud systems had them.

Definitely not. I'm an original owner and never had the sunglasses. I had a Green.
