oh well, i would have liked an icon. But the more important thing is the ROm of this cart is saved in case the cart ever erases or gets lost.  I would love to see the names beside the people who had the games dumped.

Thanks again guys for saving all these games for us.

It's gotta be unreleased game that you dump for the community without charging for it (I assume that part at least), so you have your work cut out for you

Pooooooooooooooooop!

I've done that 20+ times, where the hell's my poop?

Haha!  Can't argue with that.  I assume it's site specific, though I have a shitload (see what I did there?) of respect for you for all the stuff you've done over the years.

On that note, I quick plug for Frank's site:  http://lostlevels.org/...

Take a peak through the main page articles and the forum and you should find a whole bunch of extra stuff to fill up your list with Rick!

Alrighty, finally updated with a few more. Are there any fixes I need to make to the list right now?

There are two different versions of each of the following unreleased games:

Airball (one from bunnyboy's repro, plus a more complete, unhacked version)
California Raisins (one is final, one is very very slightly earlier)
Escape from Atlantis (one is obviously later than the other)
Hero Quest (really broken NTSC version, final-ish PAL version)
Uforce Power Games (the hacked one is earlier than the unhacked one)

Also you're missing Superman, which was an early version of Sunman, and Super Pitfall 2.

My memory's only good for the unreleased stuff unfortunately so I'm not sure if you're missing any of the released game protos. I know I've dumped a Spanish Maniac Mansion proto that may or may not have been final (I didn't have a final ROM to compare), and I think I've dumped two PAL Mr. Gimmicks, but they were probably identical if they haven't shown up anywhere.

Also, is there a ROM marked as a Cross Fire prototype? I dumped a NES cartridge proto, and it was byte for byte identical to the Famicom game. Also are you sure about Crackout? Is there really an NTSC version, or are you confusing the (released) PAL game with a prototype?

As sweet as that game is, I'm pretty sure Cross Fire was a Contra-like game.  It looked fairly cool from what I remember.

I actually think I have the Crossfire ROMs laying around somewhere, but I told the owner I wouldn't release them. I need to give it another play.

It is similar to contra. cept you have distant enemies that you throw grenades at. definitely not as cool as contra though.

It's byte for byte identical to the Fami release.  Others who are interested can try it out here without you having to worry about stepping on the proto owner's toes.

It is, that's what I'm saying. The prototype I got from that dude in Spain was byte for byte identical to the Famicom version already on the internet, so it is "out there" as the Famicom game.

I'm not entirely sure, I just posted what I had in my collection. I downloaded what I had for holes off of a particular ROM site by doing a search for "Proto", then for "Beta". I'll check it out later after I finish a paper, and I'll add the other ones up to the list too.

I'm pretty sure it's the translated Famicom rom that's out there.

NGD never released the ROM to the public, so you'd have to get a dump from one of the reproductions.

No idea if this will ever be updated, but a few more that I released personally that aren't on the list are:

Tommy T's Play Me Sound Editor  (Unreleased)
Kitty's Catch  (Unreleased)
Color a Dinosaur
Arcadia VI (Unreleased)
USA Bowling (Unreleased)

Likely others, though that's all I got for now.
