Please forgive me if this is the dumbest question ever. I am wondering if there is a gold version of Zelda: A Link to the Past for SNES. Call me names if you must, but I need to hear it from the experts. Thanks.

As long as I could remember, there has not been a legit gold copy.

nope, only a gray, there are only a few like 3-4 colored s-nes carts, killer instinct black, and maximum carnage red, and doom red, there's another, but it aint zelda, the 64 was the first gold cart.

It would be cool if someone made a really good one. Like close to the same qualitity as Majora's Mask or the original Zelda. If one came out so good you couldn't tell it was fake, I'd buy it

The originals are gold plated, which gives the same type of look as chrome, not painted. It would be expensive to do this yourself unless you know someone in that biz. I wish I had the means to do it. That supposed "chrome" paint they sell at auto stores just looks like silver, not chrome. Same with the brass or "24K gold". It sucks. Someone sells a kit now for professional painters but it starts at like a grand for the equipment.

The one I have in gold was done by Custom Nes Guy. That's about as good as it gets for gold versions and he did a great job.  Its sad that Nintendo never released it in gold but I had to have the next best thing.
