Gloryhole

Thesaurus, look it up and then use it. This is NOT a gay porn site although at times it seems so. Chris, awesome find you have there, I hope you get a Bazillion bucks for it!

Haha thank you! I was wondering why people say "gloryhole" when they find something great.

OK, so I called the VGA people today. They don't do sticker removal. They told me if I wanted to peel them off and there was residue left they could clean that off, but that is it. Ug, I really don't know if I want to take the risk of messing it up. They mentioned that with the stickers being in great shape that it may not hurt the rating or not much. Decisions, decisions. I guess that's why I do loose game collecting, I only have to worry about them looking clean and playing well.

I will update this post once I figure out what I am going to do.

I'm not sure who you spoke to but of course they do sticker removal lol - how do you think most of us get our stickers off when we send our games in?

Well maybe in the last couple days they tried to remove some stickers and had issues.  Oh shit that's right I sent my Pro Wrestling in for sticker removal. SOB!!! Thanks for giving me an ulcer.  hahaha.  SERIOUSLY let's hope this isn't the case.

Did you talk to Kim?  She knows her shit I just got this on Wednesday "Concerning the sticker on the Pro Wrestling - we think we may be able to get that off"

Personally I wouldn't send it in with those stickers unless VGA agrees to attempt removal.  Also there's one sticker on the V seam avoid that mofo like the plague.

I did speak to Kim and she had to go ask someone else. I can call and talk to her again about it since it seems that they have done it before for folks here. Will update.

Removing stickers is not so hard once you've tried it a few times, hopefully on some cheaper games. Just takes some practice, and maye a little goo gone.

I've never met a sticker I couldn't remove. In my experience, stickers directly on a seam are actually much easier to remove as the seam provides an area of relief keeping the adhesive from making contact with the small surface area underneath. It gives you a space to get under the sticker completely and as long as it is peeled in the direction of the seam as opposed to against it, there won't be any issues with damage to the seam itself.

Has anyone successfully removed a sticker from a PS1 game overtop of the tear strip? That was my only experience and boy did it come out bad. So I haven't made any attempts in the future...

Do you remove the plastic hangtabs yourself?

Yes, but only if they are grimy, yellow, creased, etc. I leave the hang-tabs if they are minty.

Thanks great to know I remove them too.
