Here is my first attempt. Apparently its tough. Friend played it. Took him about 20 tries. Hes not the best at mario so maybe some of you experts might be better. Its all about control. Its not kaizo or anything. I only had the first row and 4 or 5 things to work with here. So I made due. 2 online people have played it and died at the first part and gave up. Trick Hold down jump when you hit goombas. You bounce higher. I figure you all know that.

Anyway here it is. Under my friends Wii U Network ID.

That was fun, I liked hopping the cloud Good use of springs too. How are you unlocking other building features, spinys, lakitu, etc?

Make sure the game is updated with the day 1 patch. Use everything. You can delete it but just put it on there. I goofed off and made half that level and it brought up the next set of stuff. It gave me lakitu, star, 1 up mushroom, moving platform and spiny at once. The next things are bullet bill cannons, spikes, Bloopers, Background platform thing, and mystrery mushroom. The patch made playtime the unlocking feature instead of days. Have to do it in maker mode actually making levels.

Glad you liked it. It was my first try. I dont even like mario 1 compared to the others,  but its all I had

Hey guys is there any way to check the level code after it initially gives it to you after uploading? If not I guess I could just remove it and re-upload.

Tap the ID button bottom left of the level overview screen. Took me a while to find too.

to unlock stuff quick put everything in the level that hasnt been used. and load the entire screen with blocks. Just keep dragging blocks. I just unlocked day 4 stuff and got the mario trail thing and castle theme. Thank god.

I love this game, but the unlocking thing is ridiculous still. I wanted that mario trail thing before. I thought that was the normal part of the experience. But no. you have to unlock it.

Got it on the second try but yes it did have a very balanced level of difficulty.... much more polished than my levels thats for sure.....I have this feeling that my levels may be an unfair challange and just will go on straight memorization but I will get better!

Better then my friend I bet though. Died 10 times at the goomba tower at the begining. Though he did complete it later lol


By the way I unlocked everything. This is badass. Working on a mario 3 level with a subworld as we speak. I think I like creating more than playing.

funny that you mention that. I try to make sections maybe difficult but I try to keep it fair and not too crazy and random. I like to make sure it looks good and polished. I will do better now that I have more stuff.

That was my biggest concern when I got it home dude.....you may be able to make a really ridiculous level but if it is to frustrating people may not find it enjoyable.

It really gets you in the headspace of a level designer, this experience is unique for sure...last time I played a game like this was RPG maker 2000.
