Well, today I received a couple of the items I considered the most difficult to find for the entire NES so finally finding these is an extremely big moment for me. I would have to say Zombie Nation CIB is one of the 5 hardest to find on this system. I had to resort to contacts and alternative sources for most of these outside of eBay because eBay simply wasn't turning Cowboy and Zombie up. I know a lot of people might disagree with the difficulty to find Zombie, but for me it was a long search to find it, let alone in this condition. Cowboy Kid CIB was also a long hunt, as the manual almost never shows up. Of the 15 or so games I still need, Zombie and Uncharted are two of them, the other 3 here I was getting IB's for.

Cowboy Kid CIB - box nm with light wear to top 2 corners, manual nm, cart m
Shadow of the Nina - box nm, cart m
Zombie Nation CIB - cart nm, manual small sticker (removable) nm, box nm
Kid Kool - box shows minor wear and has sticker remains, cart m
Uncharted - box shows minor wear, manual and map show wear, cart m

I don't have an extra of either but Uncharted is rather cheap cart only. How much are you offering on each?

4/6/12: Got a few really awesome things today. First things first, I got King Neptune's box from a Nistle here on Nintendoage. Thanks Dustin for that! Also today: Blades of Steel RED CIB, Duck Tales 2 CIB, and then some commons like Caesar's CIB, MULE CIB, Burai Fighter CIB (looks like shit but what can ya do?), Ultimate Air Combat CB only and one of the 12 I needed still, and then Fist of the North Star, a childhood fave. Last item today was Caltron 6 in 1 sealed. Most purchases here are from online as I haven't been to the stores in a few days and they are mostly dried up at that rate. Out of these, Duck Tales 2 was the big challenge for me. I paid a premium for it but it has me linked up to a seller who has other stuff I need which may prove valuable in the longrun.

4/9/12

Two of the most difficult boxes to find came in today's mail! Wayne's World and Color A Dinosaur! Also received: Loopz (upgrading my existing copy), 2 more semi-hard-to-find kid's games: Barbie and Sesame ABC/123, replacement for Rally Bike, replacement for MLB (probably my fave. sport game on NES), and L'Empereur. I need to see who sold me L'Empereur because they sent me a gem mint item and it has never been used. I think that's just awersome because it's not exactly easy to come by in the first place. Also highlighting these items: a sealed copy of Mermaids of Atlantis.

PS - so glad i could get barbie on ebay. i kept skipping it at the exchange because it was super embarassing to consider buying that one. thank god i'm having children soon and have an excuse for this... hehhh...

4/11/12 - Today I am listing a lottttt of stuff on eBay, so keep your eyes out, but it's mostly extra stuff I need to clear out. As for incoming, here is today's loot...

Won a lot on eBay for the following boxed games, most are in decent condition and a bit disappointing overall since the best onesa are in the worst shape. Included: Shock Wave (might as well take a shit on the box since it's in awful condition), Adv. Bayou Billy, Time Lord, NARC, Top Gun, Roger Clemens, NES Play Action, Gotcha!, Tennis (ah love when black boxes are in shit condition), and Tetris (condition=shit).

Nothing impressive. Now on to the 3 biggies:

Baseball Stars 2 -  CIB very good condition, HTF box
M.U.S.C.L.E. - CIB, very good condition, one of the hardest boxes to find and one I wanted for the longest time. One very small flaw on back, but the rest of the box is solid and this one is special to me.
Darkman - Factory Sealed w/ H-Seam - this is such a bitch to find the box, so sealed is a bit of a bonus.

4/12/12 Part 1 of 2: too many to list. Thanks to a few cool people at Nintendoage for some of this stuff. Highlights include: Dragon Warrior 3, Faria, and Stinger. Sadly, I have every single cart already so will be listing the carts for sale tomorrow. 3 of my childhood faves now have boxes finally!!!!!!!!!! (Goonies 2, Rygar, and Milon's)

FYI I am posting these pics to share my excitement in collecting NES and finishing off the set, something I have been attempting to do for 15 years, which involved multiple hiatus' and breaks throughout. Women, jobs, school, and other interests have slowed it down significantly over the years. Well, 2012 is the year I decided to finish this shit off once and for all. Prior to starting, I sold a lot of stuff I no longer collect to raise funds for this initiative.

4/13/12: 3 empty boxes in fair condition: Baseball, Racket Attack, and Karate Kid; Super Mario Bros. CIB - who the hell would have thought this would cost a few bucks let alone be a challenge to find. I guess time's are changing! 3 very awesome items today: Kid Klown CIB (this item is super dope, thanks Anonymous), Ultima Warrior of Destiny CIB (From Sosafan) - I have the mint manual and map so will be selling the one's included in this lot (a bit of wear); and Nobunaga's 2 (this was super difficult to find - it took a long time to locate a CIB copy) - Romance 2, Nobunaga's 2, L'Empereur, and Bandit Kings are in my opinion 4 of the most expensive and difficult to locate CIB's on the system due to the fact that the maps are usually missing along with the items already being harder-to-find.

This thread almost makes me want to collect NES CIBs again... you've got to be close to the end by now with all of these updates. It's good to see someone else appreciate several of the hard to find titles that don't have high price tags.

That Ultima and Kid Klown look great. I know loose those can be a tought find but complete...

I had an almost complete set at one point, most of mine came from buying out video store inventories when they would be dumping them off to replace them with PSX and Saturn.

Missed this thread until now, awesome pick ups. I agree with an older post regarding Zombie Nation and Cowboy Kid. Both rarely pop up CIB.
