Okay, I made it to Gen. Slaughter on my last life of my last continue and beat him without getting hit. He's a really, really easy boss fight. Then I stupidly died at the beginning of Clinger Winger because I wasn't holding the directional button.

But I am getting better at the rat race.

Made it to Clinger Winger on my first continue with five lives, and couldn't get past it. That level is absolute murder on the hand/thumb.

Well Battlemaniacs down. Easily the weakest in the main series.
Besides the OST, I've never cared much for the game. The only other one that comes close (but still misses the mark) is BT&DD. Back to the Terra Tubes, dudes...

Agreed, the levels kind of suck.....OST is pretty good though I dig the stage 1 song for sure.

Plus I am not a fan of the big sprites....

Yeah, the big sprites definitely throw off the feel!

I'd say for me personally, I'd have to go with Battletoads > Battletoads & Double Dragon > Battlemaniacs in terms of enjoyment. I actually don't mind BT/DD much at all on the NES; it was one of the first titles I played on the console!
