I'll try to explain the Scoreboard Rank system here, hopefully it is not too statistics heavy Feel free to ask questions and I'll revise as necessary!
Individual game Rank Points are distributed based on whether your high score is above average or below average. You will get a positive number of points if you are above the average, and a negative amount if you are below. The number of points you get depends on how far above or below the average you are.
Rank Points are first calculated by working out the average high score for every player for a game. So for a simple example, let's say 3 people have the following high scores:
Player 1: 8,000Average Rank Points for a player is the average for all of their individual Rank Points for each game.
FAQs:
Q: What happens when I get a new high score?
A: Since your new high score will change the average and the standard deviation, all Rank Points for everyone with a score for that game are recalculated.
