Feels good to see another thread!

I played this a few months ago for my blog so hopefully that will make me not as rusty.  I'm thinking I'll have time Thursday to get a run in.

Put up a quick one just to at least get some participation points. Glad to finally return to these contests after taking 2015 off for the most part. Should be fun.

If you're having trouble with the controls, you will probably get used to them by the end of the week. It's not too tough to no death once you get the hang of them, although I guess that's easy for me to say since I've been playing it for almost 30 years. The turtle hopping can be really fun since there's a bunch of areas to try it out, but I've never seriously practiced it.

I'm used to being able to control him mid air with the b button. And the momentum you need for the big jumps is tough to figure out. It's like he's just stalking out in air to the death lol

I might give it another shot before the end of the week. Even though my score doesn't count, I know I can break the million point mark.

Thank you Santa. you said it perfect

I can't get the rythm/flow. I keep coming up short on jumps or jumping way to far into enemies (and other holes). Even trying to combo jump the gumbas is getting me killed, ayyyeee.

Keep on trying I'll be happy if I can no death this thing.

I updated my score with a pretty nice game I had this morning.

I see the potential for a big improvement, but I don't know if I can make it all happen in one run.

I can get the turtle trick to work about 10% of the time. If I wasn't such a lazy bastard I'd get an emulater set up with a save state to practice it ><

Ha! Actually when I glossed over the post I thought you were thanking Satan for the trouble you were having with the jumping mechanics.

I really haven't had time to test it out any further, but I figured that you still had room to pad your score. Nice job!

I have a very nice run sitting paused at home.  The only question is, do I ruin it like all the others by shutting down due to a mix of anxiety and muscle fatigue?

Since this contest started I have been playing this game whenever I had a free moment to spare. After dying on so many runs I finally managed to make it this far without a single death, and happily turtle hopping the whole way there.
Edit: Spent another two days trying to beat my record and finally it all came down to this.

WHAT AM I SEEKING NOW???
PC Engine with video cable, power supply and controller. Looking to spend $100 to have this console in my collection.
