Just got this in the mail the other day -- I was shocked at how nice it was. The cart and manual are nearly untouched, and the box is decent considering this one usually shows up destroyed:

It's up for grabs, btw -- see my trades post if you're interested.

Good job !!

-------------------------

WTB Cdn sealed black boxes, sealed Cdn first party titles.    I.e. the "mattel" Cdn boxes with both french and english.   Mainly black boxes, zelda, link, and tyson, but let me know what you have.    I am interested in anything I don't already have!

Thanks, I was pretty glad to snag it for sure. The funny thing is that I emailed him for pics, he replied with a camera phone pic (fuzzy, but looked ok), and I return replied asking what he wanted for it. He said he's been selling NES games for $5 each, so told him I'd give him $5 for it. He agreed, under the condition that I become high bidder on it. I agreed, bid, and became high bidder at $5.50, so he ended the auction "to the highest bidder." I guess I don't really feel too bad about that, since I was the high bidder

LOL, I wouldn't say I stole it -- I became the high bidder, and he ended it to the highest bidder. Had you bid more than $5 on it, it would have been yours

I want it man...I've got a few rare CIBs, but none as rare as Sqoon. Also have tons of goodies I have to catalogue and whatnot, we can probably reach an agreement somewhere along the line...

"It's always amazing to me how some of the most worthless games from a gaming perspective tend to fetch outrageous amounts of money. But then again, it could be said that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'm curious if the high bidder of the $873.04 Stadium Events (cart-only) realizes that it's nowhere nearly as rare as about 20+ games I can think of that sell for 1/10th that amount?  At any rate, I wanted to draw attention to this trend: if people say it's rare, it must be true, and therefore it must be had at any price."

Well Wizard, I have a perfect mint one that has the hangtab unpunched and everthing. I would trade it if you could get DreamTR to cough up the Chubby Cherub box he sniped me on last year. LOL!! I won't hold my breath though, he only wants an SE box for it or something comparable. ;-)

I can trade you a baseball bat for it, which you can use to go and club him and steal the Chubby box

Interesting... well he is moving down by Jason (NGD) so if we could get a 3-way trade going this might work. So you'd get my perfect mint CIB Sqoon, I'd ge the CC box, I wonder what Jason would want? LOL!!

DreamTR I know you are reading this... should you be scared?!

I think I would just get the Chubby box guys, and a pile of unreleased proto's Not sure what you all would get but I would get a TON of good stuff, lol. I am sure me and DreamTR will meet up at some point and do some game shopping, I talk to him on AIM from time to time.
