I never use my Sega Master System, and the other day I was playing it and the sound would start out working ok, then fade out to nothing, then it fades back in to a different volume than where it once started, and then either stay attenuated like that, or come back, or go away - it's ALL over the effin place.

This is with the AV cables, not the RF switch.  I haven't tried the RF yet because I have to dig out my old CRT and haven't gotten around to it....

Anybody familiar with this kind of problem?  Think the RF will work ok or is that the sound chip inside doing that??

Any input is greatly appreciated, thanks!!

Maybe a power supply/capacitor problem? The output type shouldn't matter, but try it with RF is you can just to see.

OK, I'll give it a shot.  I have a nice (minus this problem) boxed Sega Scope system, and want to sell it, but if this thing is jacked up I'm going to buy a new Power Base first.

Thanks!
