Thank you, Jonebone.  I was asked this morning to take a pic of the back plate to show that is was indeed "Made in Japan" and not "Made in China."  I will post a pic this evening.

Additional proof that this is a legit controller.  I was asked by one of the interested parties to show that this is a legit N64 Controller.

i got 2 fakes so ive been burned by seeking this controller and have lost all interest in collecting it afterwards especially
missing the opportunity of a legit “new” one prior to getting 2 fakes.

good luck with sale seller, 2k are very reasonably offers from what ive seen

also getting a fake signed is possible as miyamoto doesnt do authenticity checks before signing.

Well, he certainly didn't have a stack of CoAs in the Nintendo Booth.

Well, I worked there during the hey days of the dreaded "Flashing Power Light," so I can't tell you how many times I said, "DO NOT BLOW ON THE CONTACTS."  LOL

Getting in the last couple minutes before 8 PM PST, the winning bid for the Controller was $2800.  I am working with the buyer now.  I will let them decide if they want to come forward.

No need to know the buyer. They got a killer item. I'm mostly curious to see pricing on aMiyamoto signed item. I'm sure controller drove this price. Congrats to both parties
 

Based on the success of this, I am looking through my collection of stuff from my days at NOA and I think I may have something that might be of interest. Like the controller, it's still in its packaging and has never been used. Unlike the controller, it isn't autographed. It does, however, got a bit of uniqueness to it that some collectors might find interesting.
