Not going to include it Aaron. I've decided to do front variations only. Adding backs will mean i'll add sides and tops as well which is a lot harder to track and the returns are pretty minimal for the most part.

As it stands "my" list seems to be complete. I'm only doing the redesigns and rereleases.

When it comes to carts what you consider MAJOR comes off as minor to me.  Different art or overall design of the box (Zelda,Metroid etc)  is major.  Most of these contest etc are all minor in my book. 

This list isn't mine anymore dude. My list is seemingly done as I only want (read: need) redesign and rereleases. But others may want promo offers and graphic design changes. I don't add cart variants to the list either since I don't display carts on my shelf unless it was NWC, maybe Stadium Events if I had one and knew I'd never get the IB+Extra.

what about the Roger Clemens Nes Black and White Boxes ? or the Wayne Gretzky Gold and black

I've got Wayne Gretzky but the black is the original so it need not be specified on the list. When I update the list I'll do pictures instead of text. I'll look into Roger Clemens though thanks dude!

Off the top of my head, Gun.Smoke and Wayne Gretzky hockey have interesting variations, the latter having at least 4 different covers. Untouchables is another one that comes to mind, and so does Metroid

Lunar pool has revised Title font colors and one of the back screen shots was changed. The first print 5 screw Non Rev-A is the harder to find version.

So basically looking for any changes aside from the seal, rev-a, hangtab ?

Off the top of my head, does not look like you have these in the list.

Tetris - Red stripe along top

Mario bros 3 - red stripe along the top

Championship bowling - 4 player (one has it on the pin, one has it on the far right)

NES Play action football also has the 4-player logo changed (red background vs white background)

Tetris 2 has 2 different ones I believe ? One Tetris is yellow, the other its blue

Nintendo world cup has 2 - Yellow Jersey and white jersey on the goalie

Tecmo NBA basketball has 2 - One with the "official nba licensed product" has a white background

I believe there is 2 super off road variants as well (different 4-player logo)

Sesame street 1-2-3 has 2 - One has new seal but things are moved around as well (hi-tech logo is new logo and swapped with seal)


Not sure if these have equivalent box variants or not but...

Roger clemens has a white top and black top with some changes on front
Freedom force has black / white zapper on one and golden zapper on another

Question for mods and OP: Is it okay to start a new thread on this topic with a plan to include all pictures in the top post? It would be awesome to have pictures of all major box variants in one place. I would probably reserve second post for minor variants as well.
