Scenario: You are trapped on a island in the middle of no where. A few hours after becoming conscious since the horrible shipwreck, you locate a crate that has washed up upon the shore. Inside the crates is a NES top loader, complete with connectors and dog bone controller. Also a small self-sufficient generator and 22" flat panel TV are in the box as well! (Not to mention various uppers, downers, and a 5th of makers mark). So the question at hand is... You took your three favorite NES games with you aboard the ship, hoping to have time to play them on your vacation. With very little chance of being rescued, thus rendering you stranded at sea for an extended length of time.. what are the three games you would chose to have with you?

Sniper's choices:
1. Gradius (I love shmups. and this game takes a lot of time and patience to master).

2. Metroid (One of my favorite games of all time, despite how many times I have beat it).

3. Kid Icarus (Haven't had much time to place this one since I was a weee little lad. I remember how bastardly hard it was. I would love to have free time to explore this title).

Honorable mention:

Blaster Master (I have always enjoyed this game, never have finished it though. I was close to putting in my top three as a project that needs work, but kid icarus prevailed in that regard).

Wow, tough choice. I'd have to say

1. The Legend of Zelda
2. Super Mario Bros. 3
3. Castlevania III

There are so many good choices, but I'd have to pick these ones for their replay value.

Well I'd be pretty pissed to have to play NES on a flat panel, but other than that, I'll go with:

1-Metroid (I still get lost in this game, 20 years later)
2-Zanac
3-Adventure Island.

-------------------------

My mantra, as worded by SamSpade on 06/12/12:
I don't resell to fund my collection, I don't treat this hobby like a second job, I don't care if my collection is worth ten bucks or ten thousand because I never plan on selling it. Seriously, what does the value have to do with anything if you never plan on selling? Speculation doesn't mean jack shit to me at this point, I just want to play my nes games...

burdger brought up an interesting point...do multicarts, Powerpaks, etc. count? If so, I'd have my Supervision 110-in-1, Legend of Zelda, and Dragon Warrior IV .

^ That would kind of defeat the purpose of the thread.

I'd probably want ones where I could design my own levels.

Lode Runner, Excitebike...

...and when I got bored of that, just Chiller and 2 guns. You're trapped, got to release some aggression
