So a buddy of mine that I worked with knew that I was into vintage/old games as a collector. He said he had a bunch of N64 games that he had no means of playing anymore that he would sell to me. I said I was interested at looking at them, but I asked first how much he was wanting for them.

He said "I really don't care.. I just want something for them." I pulled $2 out of my pocket and he just goes "That works." Come over tonight and I'll give you them if you want them.

I just figured he probably had the basics.. you know, "Goldeneye" "Banjo Kazooie" "Tony Hawk" etc.. but I figured "Eh, i'm sure I can find one or two in there I don't have."

I get over to his house and hands me a stack of about 7-8 games. Most of them I actually didn't have.. somewhat obscure, but nothing valuable. "Tony Hawk 2", "Rush 2 Extream Racing USA" "Turok Rage Wars" and a few others. But there was one I was kinda exicted about having when I noticed it. "Clayfighters".

I was like "Damn! I loved this for the SNES. The 64 cart will be fun."

So i googled it for possible cheats/glitches/etc., and much to my surprise. I got more than what I bagained for.

I noticed the cart read Clayfighters 64 1/3: Sculpter's Cut and it had it's own seperate wiki article. Come to find out it's among the rarest carts in the U.S. Cart alone valued at $60+ i got for barley $1.

Score, right?

Very nice score! I need more friends like this. Im always amazed at the people who own that game and have no clue that its valuable. I guess thats not exclusive to this title, system, or gaming, though.

Got any of these for sale? Sell them to me. I also buy other NES Publisher inserts, and even GB/GBC, and SNES inserts too.

Don't you feel kind of bad for your 'friend' though? I guess it totally depends on how close you are, whether you actually consider him a real friend or just a know-basis, and of course the fact that you didn't know it was so rare when you bought it. But still, I couldn't help feel bad for the guy. A few dollars for SC is a ridiculous bargain. The cart will go for about $40-80 easily.

He had no idea what he had.. and i told him later on about it and he just goes "really? damn thats a tough break for me."

I was honest with him about it at least. ^_^

If you are going to give your friend a bunch of games what is the point of charging $2 for it, lol. I would either give it to them as a gift, or charge them something for it. It just seems silly, if you give it to them you get credit for giving a nice gesture. Now he probably just feels like a fool who charged way to little for something.

That's just me though, nice score by the way and welcome to NA.

Well, his attitude about it was that he just wanted SOMETHING for the bundle.. I honestly don't know why he didn't take them to Disc Replay, they would have told him what he had and he would have walked out with $70+. Either way, he wasn't upset when I told him. He was glad that he could help contribute to my collecting. ^_^

Thank you sir!
