Actually there were 8 boxes of golf balls there on the shelf, so I called my brother-in-law who plays a lot of golf and asked if he wanted any of them. He said no, then I mentioned that two of the boxes were different and told him the name of them. He told me that they were older golf balls and that I should check them out. Low and behold I checked my phone and saw eBay listings for $50-60 per box. Had he not said anything I wouldn't have bought them I will definitely be checking from now on. I just assumed that after shipping / Paypal fees most boxes of golf balls just aren't worth reselling, but I guess that always isn't the case!

The various ringtones on it were awesome. I asked my oldest if she wanted it for her room but she said no, so i sold it.

Its a whole line of products. I also have found the pencil sharpener and alarm clock. Ill post pics of them when i get a chance as i still have them.

Nice, yeah one of my hopes for this thread is that people can learn other stuff to pick up while game hunting.

Such as those hand held yahtzees and old golf balls.

That's what I'm hoping as well. I myself don't have much knowledge about prices for stuff other than video games. I played the Tuba for over ten years though and I'm a big fan of music so I do know some stuff about instruments and such but not really in depth. I just know what's crap and what's good. Even used some instruments can be worth a ton especially the bigger ones like Tubas (even the worst ones are usually above 500$ used still). Bad thing I don't really see instruments at flea markets ever

I have picked up a few $40 - $50 fishing reels for around the $5 mark a couple of times as well, didn't take any pictures though. Helps to stumble across something other than video games that you just happen to know about and didn't expect to find. Tennis racquets can be good too, but you have to be pretty sure before you buy them since shipping them can be annoying (checking for cracks in the frames is pretty important!). I bought 3 tennis racquets this year for $11 and sold them to a tennis pro I know for $50, was being very generous though since he's a friend. Probably $120 - $140 worth of racquets.

I got this one a couple weeks ago. Was at a rummage sale that had all kinds of vintage toys and my daughter found a tote full of stuff. On top was freaking Castle Grayskull! I look at the price, $5. Holy shit yeah ill take that. Didnt even look at what was in it. Got home and sorted through and organized them all. Found everything except for one piece, the silver robot guy (ill get to him in a minute).

Anyway, the Castle grayskull is complete with all the pieces. $100+ BTW--Anyone know how the trap door on the right side works? I cant get it to latch properly.

Various figures and accessories from the early to mid eighties. Easily $100-$150 worth
He Man plus bird, both panthers and vehicle
Secret of Ninja
Chuck Norris
Galaxy Warriors
Centurions
Daggers, Knights and Dragons
Several other various
Plus a bag full of their weapons and accessories

And oh yeah Silver Robot guy...I had no idea who it was until i took pics last night. Started googling silver robot 80s as he is unmarked. Eventually stumbled upon a comic called ROM that kinda looked like him. BAM: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Marvel-RO...

He has all the pieces except the power cord which I swear i had so i need to dig through the box again.

Anyway, damn good haul. one of my best in a while.

Also got another Yahtzee there and a mattell classic basketball handheld.

I would love to have all that He-Man stuff.

I picked this up from the Goodwill toady for $6. It will go well with all the Mario and Zelda DVDs I have. It is a 4 DVD set.

That's great for $5.

That trap door releases when you turn the throne.  There should be some sort of mechanism on the under side of that platform I believe.

Nice score on the Castle Greyskull.

Sorry but Castle Grayskull is not worth $100+...unless you didn't show everything in the picture, it appears to be missing several pieces, mainly the weapon rack and all the weapons that go on it, plus the counterweight for the elevator, and the spinning thingy. I got a 100% complete one on ebay back in March for $30

looks like a ton have sold in varying levels of completeness for way over 100. people have bought 100 for just the basic incomplete castle. Plenty of BINs have sold. Your 30 dollar one was a great deal but just because someone gets something for a price doesnt mean its not worth more. There are BINS of complete and incomplete ones that have sold for well over 100 and less than. Of course BINs under 100 will get purchased most likely because they are good deals.

I was at a few garage sales this morning and happened to see this cabinet at one of them. I thought it looked like a fantastic piece to display some things. The bottom left door is missing the glass which is unfortunate because I think the design on it is beautiful. Instead of trying to get the design replicated on the broken piece, I was thinking about taking the glass out of the bottom right door as well and replacing the two with just normal glass this way it looks more appealing.

Anyways, there was a $40 price tag on it and I didn't even bother talking the person down. No idea on potential value but I don't plan on selling it.

It is complete, see that bag in the pic. It has the rest of the stuff in it.

Thanks for questioning me but I do know what I'm doing. Not gonna say its complete if it isn't.

And as Quest said $30 is far from the norm.

There's gotta be one of those people in every thread I guess.

Found this Bulova Self Winding 23 Jewels wristwatch for $5 at a flea market. I've seen it go for over $50 on ebay. It's a good quality mechanical watch. This one still works like a charm.

Luxman M-12 2-channeel Mono/Stereo Amp - $4.99.  Last one on eBay sold for $540 + $60 shipping.  It's a pretty nice box...heavy as hell, though.

I also picked up a copy of Microsoft Office 2007 Professional for $1.50.  Sold it to my software guy 4 hours later for $140.  I've had worse days...

I'm pretty sure none of the other people where I was who were hunting for stuff like I was ever would have known what this was, even if I told them it was worth money.  If it ain't got a bar code, those idiots don't believe it exists.

PS to the guy with the Maiden drum head - if you actually sell that, Eddie is gonna find you, sew your rectum shut and feed you Krispy Kremes and bran cereal until you explode.  May be better to just hang on to it, given the alternative.
