Last week a Play N Trade in my area got a nice copy of Earthbound, few light marks on the front. Apparently a guy came in looking for cash and sold the game for $40. He knew the value of the game, but I guess he really needed the money and didn't have time to wait for it to sell online. If I was there that night I would have offered more :/. Anyways, they finally put it out and asking for around $140-150 for it. 

So if your in the NJ area and need a copy of Earthbound then send me a message and I'll give you the store location and #. I'll be in Virginia all day Thursday for a job interview so I won't be able to check my msgs often. If the game is still around on Friday I'll take some photos and post them here.

I just bought my copy on ebay $145 a few days ago. Maybe the Wii U rerelase might harm the value after all.

I don't see a reason to pay ebay prices in a brick and mortar store.

X2 I know Earthbound is still pretty expensive, but 150 is still a lot for one game.

Haha $150 is nothing compared to people spending over a grand on other carts. Eartbound was selling for around $200 last month. I'm glad the price has been going down because it was increasing every month. I guess people who really wanted to play the game felt it would a better idea to spend that money and buy a Wii U + buy the game online for $10. Hopefully it will go back to around $100 because I would like to own the cart for my collection.




I've seen them selling for $140-170 on eBay so I know its not an amaing deal. Just thought I share some news to anyone whose in the NJ/Philadelphia area who's looking for Earthbound and doesn't want to buy one online. I forgot to mention if you signed up with Play N Trade you would get a 10% discount so it would be less. 

I know that $145 isn't the greatest deal of the century (it kinda is for me because of the particulars of this specific deal) I was merely illustrating that the price is cooling off a bit overall. I used to see these sell for $200 easily. As you mention it's dropping down to $140-$170.

Hopefully it keeps dropping so I can finally pull the trigger and buy a cart. Its crazy how people were paying $200 just awhile ago. I remember seeing one idiot on eBay buying up carts for $200 and trying to resell them for $250.

Yeah, Earthbound is a game I've been wanting to play for a while, but no way am I paying $150 for it. It I ever find one for closer to $100, I might pull the trigger.

There was one in my area at a local store too for $150. You know the cart is on the way down when they're being spotted at retail for that price

I sold mine a month and a half ago for $220 when I heard about the Wii U release. Now hopefully it will go below $100 and I'll grab another copy!

It is for sale at the local pawn shop here for 199$ and demons crest is on sale for 129$

It's pretty hard to collect with prices like that.

Jeez....  Those prices are even above ebay prices.
