No, Retro Duo doesn't have the sound inputs from the cart.  You would have to use the headphone jack on the side.

Nope!  NES has too many color limits to do even the GB Color.  Original GB is best possible.

Thanks to nitro2k01 of #gbdev who suggested and helped with removing the power regulator board which should reduce noise. Now there is a bit more space inside the cart! All the carts sold have been changed before shipping.

I think this is really cool. If I had a gameboy collection I would buy this in a heartbeat. Do you plan on making these for a while? It would suck if I couldn't get one of these in the future.

While I think the overlay of the GB screen is cool, is this an option that can be removed (i.e. play stuff fullscreen)? I'll probably buy one in the next batch you have, either way, but just thought I'd ask.

The border can be changed to black or white, but so far there is no GB picture scaling so it fills the screen. Small chance I will be able to add that in the future because there is more space in the CPLD. If that happens any of the existing carts can be sent here to be reprogrammed as it will require no new hardware.

^Interesting. With knowing very little about how the tech works, what you're saying is that since it's using an NES to translate the picture to the screen, what is displayed on the GB "screen" is using the correct amount of pixels relative to what it would have been if it were an NES game? I mean, you had to add the border so that it would be as full screen as it is now?

NES is 256x224 pixels, GB is 160x144, so without any pixel doubling or scaling there is extra space around the outside of GB when shown on NES. Scaling would have to take every 2 GB pixels and turn them into 3 NES pixels. That would make the GB display 240x216, which is a smaller border. That isn't easy and would add some blurring.

well, as much as I thought this would just be a super gameboy in a nes casing, I'm surprised that it retains the expansion ports for the adding or peripherals. That changes some things. Neat piece of hardware.

I know I'm new here, but this is too cool not to sign up to the boards to comment about.

If you have any sort of running waiting list, I'd definitely like to get on it. This is way too awesome.

Absolutely!  Whats f1?  I haven't tried 2x RetroVision but did play Tetris on RetroVision vs GB Pocket.

I think Bunny need a new icon, unless thats what the "Releasers" icon is for. This type of hardware development goes beyond homebrew into a whole new realm.

There's only sound in the headphone jack if you haven't modded your NES. It's the same reason you can't play a Japanese game with sound expansion and have it work on your American NES, it wasn't made to support expansion audio out of the box. bunnyboy posted a link to a thread about how to do the simple resistor mod... then it'll work.
