I enjoyed most of these really.  Was cool to finally knock down some classics I've had forever (Ninja Gaiden series, Adventure, A Boy and His Blob).  Felt good to finally conquer the Ninja Gaiden trilogy (thanks to having time snowed in during a blizzard). Renegade was a random beat that really surprised me; fun game.  The TG16 shooters (Soldier series) were the definition of intense.  Had a blast playing those.  Gradius II was excellent, great challenge, and awesome graphics.  Ninja Gaiden III was mainly on my list to conquer the trilogy.  I was a bit underwhelmed by it, it's definitely not as good as the previous NG's, but still playable.  Adventure was the first Atari game I ever "beat", so that was cool.  A Boy and His Blob was the first game I played through on my AVS, and had a great time playing it with my younger sibling.

Ranked favorite to lesser favorite:
A Boy and His Blob (NES)
Super Star Soldier (TG16)
Soldier Blade (TG16) Final Soldier (PCE)
Ninja Gaiden I (NES) Ninja Gaiden II (NES)
Gradius II (FC)
Renegade (NES)
Ninja Gaiden III (NES)
Adventure (Atari 2600)

Were the Castlevania games for the GB that bad, or were they just worse than the other games on your list?

Belmont's Revenge is the only one really worth playing imo. Unless you count Kid Dracula
