While doing some research on how to dump a prototype with an uncommon board type, I came across a few different programs to run the CopyNES. I have always used the one hosted on the retrousb website. I am curious if anyone has experience with these other programs. What is the best one for dumping prototypes? Here are a couple of options that I have found. I know practiacally nothing about the differances among them. Some seem to be intended for the serial version.

For different board types the program itself doesn't matter at all, all that matters is that the board type has a mapper plugin in the plugin folders. All program versions use these same plugins.

I am using 4.0.1 not sure where I got it from. It gives errors about NES Not being Powered on but just ignore and click through the errors and it works. I have had 100% success with this version. I am using on Win 10 64, but also used it in the past on 7 and 8.
I like that it gives you a list of board instead of a list of mappers. So you can just match the closet choice of board to the game and you don't need to figure out what mapper.
