I guess I should have put that in the post. I live in Parma, MI and like I said I am willing to drive and meet you somewhere. Gas will probably cost less then shipping everything, plus it gives my wife and I a chance for a long needed road trip.

Thank you community for a great 6 years of collecting, getting to know some of you, and learning more about retro collecting.  NES will always be the heart of my video gaming and I wish you all the best in the future.

Isn't Parma considered South Central MI?

ahh yes, Parma is located in South Central, MI was confused at first, but I'm assuming if you search my eBay name and do not have a transaction in prgress with me eBay will only give a general location. It all makes sense now.

Acomicbookguy, I will put FO in the title, thanks for the tip, and I'm going to try and sell everything together first and if I that doesn't work out I might sell games seperately.

Please combine both threads together as per the NA FAQ

Hey guys, I'm looking for some advice. Do you think it would be smarter if I broke this whole lot down into smaller lots based on system rather than selling this as one huge lot? Do you think more people would be interested? Do you think it would bring in more money?

Thanks

Smarter? Depends on whether your goal is to sell it faster or for more money. As a big lot you are possibly looking at a faster sale if you can find the one buyer, but you are looking at the least money for each item. If you sell each item individually, you are looking at much more time, and much more money. Smaller lots seem to be a popular option as this usually gives you something in between the two extremes.

I think you have a better chance of getting struck by lightning than to sell that entire lot at a decent price.  You are going to have a hard time selling even individual system lots unless they are quite cheap.

Good luck

Phil - anybody who makes an offer on the whole lot is going to want to make some money on their purchase, because there is no way they are going to want to keep every single item for their personal collection. In other words, you are going to get reseller offers with a lot this size. You should expect to take a large loss selling it as one big lot.

The only way to make sure you will get full value for everything is to break it down and sell every game and system individually. This will take significant time and effort compared to selling it all together - it is up to you whether or not it is worthwhile to go that route.

My offer stands, and I am always open to negotiation.

Thanks guys. Very helpful information. Milligangames, I'm going to see if I get an offers in the ball park area that I'm looking for, if not I'm probably going to sell the items in lots or individual. However, I don't know what kind of negotiation would make you want to increase your offer? If you would like me to ship the item I can. Did you want to buy only certain parts of the lot, or are you interested in the whole thing?

Thanks again guys

Well as he said, best to do it alone. When you get to taking single offers I see stuff I'd be interested in. I will say though I have no idea what you figure the lot is worth, but you got some $100+ value NES stuff in there like Bubble Bobble 2 which I think should be motivation enough to at the least piece a few of them out.

After many wise words from people in this thread. The smartest thing for me to do would be to sell this in smaller lots or piece by piece. However, I thought I would try and sell everything in one lot one more time before I sold it in seperate lots/pieces.

If you would like to make offers on individual items feel free. I will be working on putting prices next to items in the near future.

Thanks guys.
