Hey classic gamers!
If you haven't checked out the Retroboards you're missing out on some really cool classic gaming contests!
We have hundreds of classic console gaming titles to place scores on. We are currently tracking Atari 2600, 5200, 7800, 8-bit, ColecoVision, Commodore 64, Intellivision, NES, Odyssey 2 & Vectrex with more to come. As a matter of fact, we just started tracking Daphne (arcade laserdisc emulation) scores.
And there's always something going on. We've had the Arcade/MAME Summer Showdown, Vector War (Vectrex tourney), Stella's Six Pack (Atari 2600 tournament) and the Arcade Quality Competition (ColecoVision tournament).
This month we're doing "Token Mania": any player that tops another player's score on the Retroboards receives 1000 forum tokens. Whoever has the most tokens at the end of the month will receive a free digital edition of Retrocade Magazine!
January we are starting the "Game of the Month" and whoever submits the highest score will receive 2500 forum tokens. This is strictly for bragging rights. Later in January we will be having the Arcade/MAME Winter Blast which will be a 7 game tournament on arcade titles.
February will feature another console tournament which will be voted on by forum members. Right now NES is in the lead.
