of it in any way that I can. I won't divulge, just in case he wants to keep it
under wraps for now.

No worries, it was Mark and I.

Same deal as always applies: Those that want to buy repros through us can, those that don't will still have the opportunity to play for free once we release the rom.

We'll be doing something similar as before for certain, but we'll DEFINITELY take a hit this time around. Mark went back and forth, but I really wanted this one and he was cool about spending a bit more than we initially planned. The sale of the NWC allows us to be a but more liberal and give back to the community more.

This game can't be lost twice for fuck's sake. That would be a sin.

Beagle good job buying this and I really admire your willingness to do as you do with lost games like this and Chuck Yeager amongst others. The fact still remains as of now there's 2 copies, you have one, and dumping the game online and for yourself (I'd assume in multiple storage devices) does no harm to the intrinsic value of what you have there. I think it's a fine thing to do what you do making some nice hard copies and then floating the ROM out there so a piece of history can not only be cataloged and protected, but also admired by the public like an interactive museum.

I can't say I have a shred of respect for the other guy though if his standard MO is to buy then lock away to probably be buried with the guy when he goes as that's just selfish hoarding at its finest despite the fact it is his money and item to do with as he pleases.

Nice! I look forward to finding out the differences in this one. Also interested to see if it will be a Famicom or NES style repro.

YESSSSSSS! Great job guys! I'm so stoked for this!

I'd easily throw down $100 for a CIB, or however you guys decide to release it - put me down for one!

So will we see an unmodified ROM, or one that fixes any bugs? And will we see a release of the other protos that have been modified as they were originally dumped for preservation rather than "playability"?

Gotcha.

As for the original (entitled) post, the only modified rom that I've ever released was for Hoppin' Mad as the original rom was unplayable. Ever other rom I've released has been unedited including buggy/broken builds.

I gotta say, I feel bad for you and Mark. Whenever you guys do something for the community, you always seem to attract the biggest dick beans.

Ahahaha, welcome to 1999-2003 all over again; I can just sit back and smile now because you now see 100% why I got out of protos....people just expect stuff for free and don't do much else other than wanted to be McCatered to with ROMS.  I can't begin to tell you how many emails/messages I STILL get from people asking about protos if I have them  or not and want ROMS; etc.
