On my AVS, I noticed that on the game genie code entry screen, I can enter more characters than just the regular game genie letters, such as numbers. What are these used for? Is there a way to enter ROM addresses or compare values directly some how?

Also, does anyone konw how to delete a code that's been entered? The only way I see to do it is to make the code invalid and then start a game, but I'm not sure that's the most direct way.

There's a way to either backspace or overwrite in blanks. I forget how, but I remember doing it.

There are more letters than what Game Genie uses because it supports other formats of codes like Pro Action Replay, Pro Action Rocky, and also raw format

To delete a letter/code use the the underscore _

Wow, I didn't know that! I played around and was able to get Pro Acton Rocky codes to work, but I couldn't figure out how ot get raw codes to go in. Any tips? How do I enter raw codes?

Thanks!

Raw format is what the code is before it turns into a code. Its a 4 digit memory location + instruction(s)
Here is a good site for codes, a lot of them are raw format. Just ignore question marks and colon when you enter it in

Yeah, that's where I was getting my codes from. For example, if I wanted to use "B671?D0:F0", I would enter B671D0F0, but it didn't take it. I'm not sure how to enter it in correctly. Have you gotten these to work?
