Are SSDs in this thing? I may take you up on it just for the HD, if that's the case.

fyi, unlike regular and slim, the super slim doesn't eject. You always have to slide the top open and closed, so that's not broken.

You are correct when you say that the disc doesn't eject but there is a button that should slide the lid open. This button does nothing.

They use regular 2.5'' laptop style SATA HDDs.  You can exchange it for an SSD, but no reason to think it has been done since 500GB models are a SKU.

Ok, thanks.

@Buyatari, I was asking about the type of hard drive. SSD = Solid State Drive.  500GB drives aren't cheap.  I was planning on cannibalizing the unit.

This is crazy, I had 2 of these and I never knew there was an eject button. Was sliding it open and closed manually like a sucka. I need to find this button next time I hook up one of them.

No SSD unfortunately. HDD only   those 500gb HDDs are cheaper than the PS3 prime. good for someone who just wants to play it though. id be interested in the hard drive if the OP is open to selling it seperately.

** edit: just saw your reply.

Ha!
Yeah and that is exactly how you break that button. Don't force it open.

Shipping would be cheaper but the asking price will be the same. I'd need your zip code for a shipping quote.
