Hi

This jacket was given to me by someone in Nintendo marketing to wear at the 1990 "Nintendo Rocks the 90's" E3 party.
UPDATE: Now listed on eBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/202502896619?ul_noapp=true

What's it worth?

You're back! It's darn near impossible to measure the worth of something like this, but given its rarity, condition, and the fact that it's been in YOUR possession, I could see it exceeding $300-500. I will definitely let others weigh in though.

With a letter from you I could see it fetching up to 500. But with no ties to you probably $200-$250. I have one of your nwc badges, probably one of my favorite pieces. I'd be interested.

Glad to see you back, Howard! I've never seen this jacket before, and it's quite likely yours is the only one left in existence. Guaranteed with it being from your collection it would go either near or slightly above the $500 mark.

Unique jackets are kind of random price wise, but with the backstory, I think it would go quite high. I'd definitely like to see a .99c starting auction to see where it lands.

Always looking for early issues of these magazines: GameFan, Tips and Tricks, Electronic Gaming Monthly.
Don't be afraid to send me a PM if you have any of these. I would love to give you some games for your magazines. :)

My main focus in my collection is Nintendo clothing.

The rarity of this jacket is what makes it worth something significant...although there is Not much demand in comparison to the super starfox jacket (even though I'm personally not a fan of the starfox jacket). 300-500 is a reasonable guess...but I don't imagine much more than 500. I'm always surprised that some of these jackets aren't worth more than that, but whatever. Great jacket on all counts! I'm interested as well.

I'm on Instagram as @CBsRetroTs. I collect mainly vintage gaming apparel, but you will see other stuff screaming nostalgia as well! WTB: Vintage Gaming Apparel and Promo Apparel (shirts, hats, jackets), NWC 1990 Shirt FT/FO: Always open to ideas!

Hey, Howard! Good to have you back on the forums!

Besides CBS Retro, I'd say I'm number two in line for collecting clothing. Pretty solid assessment. Prices are hard to lock down on items like there, but you'd get a good $200 bid from me. What size is it? I know that will affect price as well.

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at the Let's Play Gaming Expo last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

Oh, my WTB thread is very popular. The sportos, the motorheads, geeks, sluts, bloods, wastoids, dweebies, Richard craniums - they all adore it. They think it's a righteous thread.
I'd also like to add that I've got my father's gun and a *scorching* price guide for aftermarket Nintendo games.
Between Dragon Warriors and nothing... I'll take Dragon Warriors - for any of my FT/FS/FO items.

With the amount of interest just in this thread alone I would expect it to easily fetch 500. I wouldn't be shocked if it went much higher.

Is there a picture of you at the event wearing it?

I didn't want to post this picture but here you go. FWIW - I was really unhappy that the PR people insisted on putting gel in my hair for the event : /

To my right is Kenny Loggins (did a set at the party) and Danny Socolof (MEGA - event guy behind the E3 Party, the NWC, etc.)

There's a T-shirt with the same logo, and a hat / vest that go pretty well with the color scheme.
