anyone know anything special or amazing about what could been the most unforgetable zelda. dont get me wrong though, i LOVE ocarina of time for the nintendo 64.  but a part of me wants to know what WOULD of happened if the 64 dd actually was released on time and it had many good launch titles as well as succeded.  it would have also affect majoras mask as well. anyones thoughts, opinions, and links are welcomed here.

I never played it, but they released it on the Gamecube as a preorder bonus for Wind Waker. And apparently it is unlockable if you beat Ocarina of Time 3D for the 3DS.

yeah i have the 3ds version of ocarina of time but i dont know, they took away the fog effect from the game and in some parts it was neccessary. call me old fashion but i like the n64 version better, just wish there was a a way to play master quest on the n64. also i believe master quest really isnt what the zelda 64 dd was going to be, as nintendo later made zelda master quest and majoras mask around that time, two seperate projects after the release of ocarina of time.

I believe it is possible to play Master Quest on the 64.  I think I saw someone with a thread where they played it on a flash cart.

Ya you can play MQ on N64, need a flash cart such as the Everdrive64. Click the youtube link in my signature and I have a video of the ED64 playing MQ (5th newest video or so).

And ya MQ isn't really OoT DD so to speak, it is the second quest but a lot of DD features were removed.

Then order a N64Drive, there's more than one flash cart out there for N64.

I'd pick a 64drive over the Everdrive64 any day. I own both and regretted the everdrive purchase.

Tho Krikzz seems to have corrected most of his wrongs by releasing a version 2 of the Everdrive, but no discount to buyers of the first buggy version that might not even run on your N64 system if you have one with a "late" mainboard.

oh well :-)

Makes me wonder, when will my 64drive arrive :\ Sent one mail, but he never replied. I got patience, but what worries me is that he doesn't update his shipping status. I guess he is just overwhelmed with orders, emails and whatnot.

Yeah, Marshall is pretty bad at answering e-mails... I also believe he's overwhelmed. But believe me, the 64drive is a foine piece of hardware. And the guy is honest and has high rep in the developer sphere. He was great when I received a bad unit, he sent me a replacement one immediately, without waiting for me to send the bad one. Even if I waited long, mine was a very possitive experience.

Just had to bug him on the benheck forums and e-mail to get an answer on the original shipping times, because he pushed them back a couple of times on the first pre-orders.

How long have you waited so far Hilmarf?

I believe Gwyndion has been waiting for almost 2 months now, and it's almost been a month and a week since I ordered mine.

Ah, he needs to hire someone, if he's selling a huge amount of them, those are some loooong waiting times. About what I waited :/
