Tuesday(Monday's ugly sister) bump! The coupon code for the Etsy store "SPRING16" expires soon, so grab up some stuff while you can!

Custom commissions will stay open this week, but next week I won't be taking any commissions, as I'll be prepping for CORGS-Con next weekend. I could take on a custom idea, I just wouldnt have any time to begin work until after CORGS. So, if you have something you'd like made, hit me up soon!

Jandrem does great work!

Check out some of his sprites, you will find something you love!

The plants are incredible and fit perfectly into the pots!

Check it out if you need something little that will make a big impact in your game room.

(This post was NOT paid for or endorsed by Jandrem) ... So I hope he doesn't mind the bump and shout-out.

He does great work, check it out!

It's amazing in person, too!

Jandrem does the beads in a way that they melt into squares. Then it's super smooth. If you prefer the "pixelated" look, you can reverse it (if it doesn't make it backwards, haha).

Personally, I like the smooth finish. Others I've seen are quite coarse.

Would recommend Jandrem's work 100%.

That Mega Tank "logo" is awesome, too!!

Yep, I prefer what's called "flat-ironing," where the front side is melted flat, closing as many of the bead holes as possible. There are lots of spriters who instead prefer to lightly melt the beads, leaving large holes. The advantage to that is that both sides of the sprite look the same, and I guess it shows the beads better? I dunno. I prefer flat-ironing because I'm more interested in the subject than the materials, personally. I'm more like "hey, this Mario looks just like it came out of the game," instead of "hey, this Mario looks like it's made out of beads," if that makes sense. The downside to flat ironing is that only one side looks flat, since there needs to be some way for the hot air to escape. This leaves the other side looking a little blurry/messy. Also, it's super-duper easy to over-iron and melt the sprite badly, when doing them flat. It's a very careful practice! I've tried leaving the reverse side un-ironed, but then the sprite winds up warping/curving slightly. Ironing both sides gives the sprite rigidity sturdiness.

Also, thanks Airvillain!
