Can I hook up my AVS to my laptop via HDMI and play it? Do I need a certain video player or what?
Thanks.

Does your laptop have an HDMI-IN port (not just HDMI, it has to be HDMI-IN or INPUT or something of that nature.)

My laptop has an HDMI-In port and I can confirm the AVS works great on it.

Interesting. What's the make and/or model?

I have an Alienware M17x-R4.  I bought it in 2012/2013 and I had never seen an HDMI-In port on a laptop before that.  I have no idea if that has become more prevalent or not, but it was a nice extra selling point for me.  I think the AVS was the only time I've ever used that feature though.
