I stopped in one yesterday and all used games $29.99 and under are $5.00

here in canada we have movie gallery,and as of today,they have the exact same sale going on for all pre-played games.perhaps its a sister company?or maybe just a coincidence?...anyways picked up about 40 GC games,and FF 12 revenant wings for DS.

my brother works at hollywood video, he got metalgear solid 4 and a few others for 5$, and a while back he got me Darkstalkers on PSP for 8$ and I got a free game with it (i just got some psp rpg game i havent tried it yet), so thats like 4$ a game. That place is horrible at selling games, infact when games come out they do not have copies for sale unless you pre order, than depending on how much of the pre orders end up selling, that determines how much are shipped within the month. But ya they have some great deals alot of the times, for a month all GC PS2, and Xbox games were all 3.99.

Mine just finished the buy one get onr free. I doubt they are running them for $4.99 here but you never know. I know all the movie gallery stores were running that deal so I thought they all would run the same thing.

all mine in NY are
I hit 4 of them
alot of 5.00 360 and wii games were still left
even some mario stuff
Best find 3 copies of street fighter IV for 5.00 each

Thanks Damage... I just stopped by yesterday and bought 3 PS3 games and a 360 game for $20! The guy originally rung me up at $89.72 before I had to remind him of the clearly posted sale!

I finally made it over to mine.  The staff was telling me how the owner was pissed off about the sale since it came down from corporate.  They had TONS of XBOX 360, PS2, Wii, and Gamecube and a few PSP games.  Of course I was there for PS3 games but Hollywood Video Sucks they have plain old black Blu ray boxes with generic backs and no manuals for all the stuff they get in store.  They did have 6 regular version PS3 games they got in for trade that I bought all and they had a Star Wars game new for $14.99 that the girl rang up for $4.99 as well since she wasn't paying attention.  So all in all I got 7 PS3 games 6 CIB, 1 NEW for $4.99 each.  Worth the trip.

huh how did you get sf4 for $5? My hollywood video has signs that say all used games $29.99 and under $5. But SF4 was like $49.99 used.

They don't pay too much attention. I didn't get anything too great. I thought my best find was when I was going through the ps2 games, I found Dragon Warrior VII for ps1. and it was .25...lol. i got home only to find it was just disk 2. I got a bunch of good stuff for the flea market but that was all. Nothing that I cared to keep to play.

I bought so many games they didnt check the prices
 they just counted them up and multiplied by 5

I went yesterday and there was nothing but crap PS2 games without the original cases...I guess I was late to the party.

Sean I think the problem on your side of WA State is that your Hollywood Video's all have Game Crazy stores linked into them. The HV's over here don't. IT's gotta be totally different to go to a video store to buy used games as opposed to going to a game store to buy used games where people already swoop up the good deals.

Well if I had known that, I could have had super paper mario at 5 bucks >:@

I picked up ResiEvil 4 Wii and Spectrobes DS there.  

Oddball one they had was a copy of Guitar Hero WT Wii for $89... Game only.




EDIT: I should mention that the GameCrazy in Maryville is also hosting this sale, for all you Knoxvillians
