I couldn't find an effective pause strat for making perfects easier in the later stages. The stopping and starting just screws me up and it's easier to get them playing normally. Pausing only helps with combos.

18 perfects is fucking intense, I don't think I got a perfect past level 14. How many levels in total, 20?

I think the pause thing is fair game.

20 stages guil

The final leaderboard has been posted.
If there is any mistake, it will be fixed tonight.

I gave the game another go this morning and was able to finish it. My final score was around 505,XXX. Kudos to everyone who was able to keep the perfects up through Stages 16-18.

I'll tackle the tournament mode next.

Damn you Skinny. I had a 832k I didn't bother posting.

Also, this game is infuriating. The not recognizing shooting and the skipping die numbers was very annoying. Congrats to those that made over 16 perfects. I came close to 17, but just got fed up. It did seem to help switching from the AVS wireless controller to a standard NES controller though. I don't plan on ever playing Palamedes again.

LOL.

My main issue is how long it takes for the difficulty to increase when playing on level 1 difficulty so that it becomes a major grind.

Yes, that too.  Around what, level 10?  When you can no longer beat the stage with the final block at the very top of the screen?  Fortunately though, a level only takes around a minute.

Stage 15 is where the difficulty picks up for me. At that point I might lose if I make too many stupid mistakes. And then stage 16 is where the game gets kind of hard.

Playing on level 5 is much more enjoyable when the game starts getting hard at around stage 6 or 7.

I guess I got lucky this week with my placement. I did not reach my full scoring potential, partially out of laziness, but even if I had I would haven't been able to beat Michael and would have placed 3rd either way. This is the highest I've ever been in the leaderboards this early in the season... bimmy's picking all my strong suit games

Hahaaa!! The skinny snipe strikes again!!!! Yes!!!

I agree with you bert. The terrible recognition of shooting the die or not and skipping numbers on the die make this game more frustrating than fun, for me.
