Alright, so I was searching through my collection of Nes games ( I have around 500) that I havent poked around in for about 7 years. The last time was when I cataloged what I had on Thanksgiving in 2004.  Anyway I had sorted them alphabetically and was trying to find Shadowgate, when my eyes scanned over one of the titles I did a double take and it took my brain a second to catch up because I saw it was the game that had sold for a ridiculous amount on ebay. Anyway I just want to know what its worth and what I should start bidding at IF, more likely WHEN I decide to sell it. Not sure how the pics are going to turn out since I had to scale them down...

Ooooook, seems like I'm an idiot and dont know how to upload or insert images properly because I'm not seeing them in the preview. Oh well, the question still remains:

How much is a loose NTSC copy of Stadium Events worth?

Check out the Ezine, it has an NES price guide in it.

Nice find, and welcome to NintendoAge!

They usually sell for right around $1500. However, this is the last game I need for my collection, so if you REALLY want to be accepted here, you should just give it to me

Heck of a first post o_O . Welcome to NA .

To answer your question, I sold mine for $2202 via live auction in the chat room. However, not only was mine super-minty, it was in a heck of a bid war, and ended for what likely is more than 2 standard deviations above the norm. Ross is correct; these normally sell for $1500-ish. In the condition yours is in, I'd expect that much +/- $100.

The pics all appear to be the same cart so I wouldn't discount it solely on the fact that some of the images are different sizes.

Yeah, it was probably cold when he took the 1st and 3rd pictures.       Anyway, welcome to NA, it sounds like you already have an awesome collection.

Very nice find. The cart seems to be in pretty good shape. Good luck selling it if you do.

I'd try to clean up the label a bit before you sell it,especially around the nintendo seal and above the Bandai logo.

Hope we aren't bursting your bubble if you thought it was worth the amount it went for sealed or complete in box. I would say in that condition since there is a ding on the top label and some wear on the border of the front and top label it would be worth $1,000 to 1,300.

You could luck out and get a nice offer from the good chaps here who need it to complete there collection but this place likes to keep the prices exceptionally lower than eBay. Why haven't you thrown it on eBay yet? It would of been listed the first second I found it.

I vote NA auction but if you do put it on ebay you should put it with all your games. That would be interesting because people would have to factor that in and you could get top dollar on crappy commons/uncommons/whatever games you want to get rid of.

That or the winner will just tell him to get the crappy commons and just send Stadium Events. Right now is the time to sell since there aren't any floating around at the moment.

The label just looks dirty not really damaged. Assuming the board looks legit, which is a big if, you could get well over $1,300. There are a hanful of guys on here that are just looking for SE to complete their set, and we haven't had one pop up for sale in awhile. If it cleans up nice, you could do pretty well if you decided to sell.

It looks dirty but there is a clear label tear on picture #3.

Other than that OP it looks real nice, just needs a little bit of TLC   Welcome to NA!

You shouldn't sell it on ebay or NA auction, you should sell it privately to ME!!!!!

I was curious how much the CIB stadium events is going for now in very good condition (not mint)

Very cool man! A picture of the board would definitely help prove it's legit. Every time a real SE pops up, I feel like I have a better chance of finding one in the wild. Good luck with the sale, if/when you decide to sell it.

Alright, so I guess just remove the flat head screws and take a picture of the board? And yes, picture 3 shows a slight nick in the label at the top. I would rather not put it on Ebay since they like to charge a 9 percent selling fee, but that fee could be compensated from higher bidding. Think I'll make a photobucket album of pics and post the link in a bit. Also, since I'm becoming paranoid regarding this cart, what would be the best way to clean the label? I would rather just sell it so someone else can deal with cleaning.

Take close up pics of the front and back of the board. If you don't clean it up yourself you will be leaving some money on the table, as the buyer will have to assume the risk that it might not come clean easily. You run the risk of damaging it also, so it's your call.

I would recommend you practice cleaning some other common dirty carts you might have first.

I think its looking like he wants to sell if he's willing to take it apart for board pics for verification. I know an easy solution. Your from Central Illinois, I'm from Central Mo. I drive east you drive west we meet in the middle at a bank .

I went ahead and cleaned the label as best I could. I tossed the pictures in the photobucket album comparing before and after. Right above the Bandai logo IS mildly damaged, but it looks better cleaned than before.
