Always thought it was weird that the Japanese were allowed to fight Nazis, but the USA wasn't. Maybe someone just failed their history classes...

The swastika in Japan (and many other countries, actually) means something completely different than the swastika in Germany.

It's actually a sign of good luck.

Some interesting reading.

"It's always amazing to me how some of the most worthless games from a gaming perspective tend to fetch outrageous amounts of money. But then again, it could be said that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'm curious if the high bidder of the $873.04 Stadium Events (cart-only) realizes that it's nowhere nearly as rare as about 20+ games I can think of that sell for 1/10th that amount?  At any rate, I wanted to draw attention to this trend: if people say it's rare, it must be true, and therefore it must be had at any price."

I believe it's meaning is universal if you put it on the forehead of a white supremecist or a military uniform

I am familiar with it's much more ancient spiritual signficance, though.

It depends on the orientation. The nazi and spiritual versions are the mirror image of each other. There is no mistaking them

WTB Cdn sealed black boxes, sealed Cdn first party titles.    I.e. the "mattel" Cdn boxes with both french and english.   Mainly black boxes, zelda, link, and tyson, but let me know what you have.    I am interested in anything I don't already have!

The Nazi flag was through and through meaning depending which way you looked at the flag, you'd see the mirror image on the opposite side so that is incorrect.

Although they obviously had a specific direction on the badges and such as you'd only be seeing one side of it.

I realize its symbolism in many cultures, but the pic on the bottom is DEFINITELY hitler, it was from a war strategy game, and as for the other, maybe the "ghost" is a buddhist, but he looks pretty darn similar to a klansmen lol

This may be true as well, but the japanese were on the nazis side during ww2, so that doesnt entirely hold up.

This japanese girl is just waving hello, honestly!

Another VERY major difference being the Nazi swastika is tilted at a 45 degree angle. Probably the most major difference.
