So I finally decided to get a PS3. Not a used up one, but a new one I'll take good care of. Sold a  bunch of stuff this month, so I had more paypal  than cash. No biggie, I'll just buy a PS3 online right?
A week went by with no shipping info update so I ask the seller to refund my money if they haven't shipped the package yet. They reply that it was delivered on Tuesday and privide me with the UPS tracking number. "Left at door "it says. 
Hmm. Well then it either got stolen, or it floated away. It's been raining here for days.

Well, at least with UPS you should be able to get your money refunded pretty easily.

I had a package delivered a few doors down and they wouldn't do anything about it told me GPS shows it was delivered at my house.

I got my package a week later when the neighbor came back from vacation. Imagine the possibilities

Well I just spent half an hour on the phone and got some more details about the tracking. It was delivered Tuesday all right. In a town about 15 miles away. The people that lived there apparently were honest people because they called for a UPS package pickup to get the package again. The tracking number has been re-scanned and should be delivered on Monday.

A similar thing happened to me once. An ex was alone at my place and a UPS worker shows up and pushed a massive box in the door and she smiles and waves as he leaves. I get home and she's like "what'd ya buy me??" ... I had to get ahold of UPS and get them to pick up the 55" TV. I never lived that down w her lol

Anyway, if/when it shows up, what games should I get?
I can't stand first person shooters or MMOs.
So far I have Ni No Kuni, which I can't wait to play. The reason I want the system in the first place.

Get the Tales of Symphonia chronicles if you haven't played them before (or even if you have, they're all nice and HD-ey!), I'd also recommend the Tales of Xilia series.

Last time I checked all PS3s play PSone games. That's a whole other library you can explore.

Stories like this make me appreciate that every package here has to be signed for by the recipient or a neighbor. Why would anyone think it's a good idea to just leave the package at the front door?
Anyway here are some games I can highly recommend for the PS3:

- Spec Ops: The Line (went under the radar for most people; great gameplay and arguably the best story you'll find in a military third person shooter)
- Motorstorm (all the games but Pacific Rift in particular)
- Pure
- WET (awesomesauce)
- Just Cause 2
- Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit
- Red Faction: Guerilla (Armageddon is good as well)
- Saboteur
- Bionic Commando
- Child of Eden
- Uncharted (the first one is great, the second one is amazing, the third one is ok)

PS Move is something I can definitely recommend. Compared to the Wii motion controls it is very accurate for most games and therefor quite fun.

- Carnival Island (It's childish but good fun because of the smooth and accurate controls)
- The Shoot
- Sports Champions 1+2

I dont think anyone mentioned Rayman Origins. The best platformer on PS3.

I did, along with Rayman Legends, but they are good so we can name them a couple times.

I'm still amazed Sega actually stuck to their guns by keeping the Casino Night pinball DLC a GameStop preorder exclusive in USA, both 360 and PS3.
PC only for the general public here.

It's worth picking up the Final Fantasy X/X2 HD remaster. I also enjoyed the FFXIII series in it's own light, rather than trying to compare it to the others.
