That's exactly the thing, it might not have been Nintendo who actually put the stickers on. I know for sure it's a not for resale because you can literally see "Not for resale" under the front sticker. My photos are terrible quality and don't show this.
Thing is, if they were fake not for resale, the seller went through alot just to make a little. $12 isn't something that's going to get your average fake to make, and especially if that same person doesn't mark it not for resale and goes through alot of unnecessary stuff to fake a cart. This guy isn't overseas and didn't make a ton of money on them. If I was a scumbag/counterfeiter I would go through the trouble to fake a better cart then Pokemon stadium not for resale.
It's weird for sure, but they are genuine I have no doubt. As far as how Nintendo/toys r us/random retailer resold these things I've no clue. My idea of it being toys r us is purely speculation based on them closing lately. But I've been collecting not for resales for years and have run across the same type of sticker on the front and back, never in the bag with a random 64 manual sealed with a refurbished sticker.
This site is full of experts on this sort of thing, I'm sure there is someone who has seen this same kind of things before. Not to mention that if you look on eBay hard enough you will find a few more that I'm assuming were purchased either the same way through whoever, or purchased from the guy I bought from. Weird thing is, the 7 that person has doesn't have a front refurbished sticker, which he/she could have removed or perhaps they were also sold without that sticker.
I did tell acidjaguar about it and I know he purchased a few. But I don't know if he got them by now or not, and he bought the remaining two .
