So I have this amazing idea, I buy an AVS, and I hook it up to my office computer via the HDMI port on the back of my monitor. I am currently using a 1440p Asus ROG PG279Q.

Will everything work good with this? I saw Bunnyboy's thread about 4k TVs, but havent seen anyone say anything about 1440p or computer monitors. The monitor has built in speakers(They suck but would work I guess) so that is also very nice. It also has one of the lowest response times of any IPS display on the market, so Im curious if it will help with lag/delay in upscaling to 1440p.

Anyone tried playing the AVS on a IPS monitor and know if I will run into any issues?

720 divides evenly into 1440p exactly twice so I imagine it will look fabulous. Please report back your findings after you test it.

I know this doesn't address your question, but similarly, I tried to play it on my projector, and it wouldn't work :/

Ill let you know. How does the AVS handle 16:9 ratio? Will I get black bars or a stretch screen? I heard it does 5:3 which is a bit weird.

The 3:3, 4:3, and 5:3 settings are pixel aspect, not screen aspect.

You know the other cool thing? This is a super low response time gaming display (4ms or less, 165hz) and holy shit was I kicking ass in Castlevania. I could just FEEL how much more responsive it was compared to using my old toaster via RCA cables to my TV.
