I love the salvation army, I have picked up more great stuff there then almost anywhere else.

So I used to go there almost every day... I lived across the street so not going there every day just seemed stupid lol. but on this day I saw a nice looking NES marked $15, jammed in with all the other electronic crap, the lady there knows me and she just gives shit to me almost half price every time lol, so I think I got it for $8-10.   I took it home thinking I would save it for parts or just resell it but when I when to go test it, I fliped the decklid and BAM!  a mint Super Mario Bros 3 cart just wating in there for me  .   That made my day.

One time I bought a system lot off ebay with 5 really common carts like Bases Loaded, Golf, etc. Then when it came in the mail I opened the system to find a Mike Tyson's cart inside! Not the most valuable game in the world, but it has significant resale value and I was quite happy

Can't go wrong with SM3 either!

yeah my salvation army is at the foothills of a really rich neighborhood so all the spoiled people deposite the unwanteds there for a tax write off lol, and I come in and swoop it up. Im in LA soo... I dont really think there will ever be a shortage of gold turning up at these spots every so often.

Nice find, man. Pretty sick with the SMB3 inside the system.

My salvos suck. There's 2 by me, the one over prices everything... and the one rarely gets anything. The best Salvo score I got this past year was Snake Rattle N Roll, Loopz, and a few manuals (River City Ransom, Legendary Wings, Etc) for 4 bucks.

My local Salvo's charging $5 for games now. Luckily it's a flat rate so I got Final Fantasy II for the same price some sucker paid for Bayou Billy.

I know, I nearly shit myself when I saw it in the pile. I didn't even really intend on going there that day, I just had to park in front of it because it was the closest parking space available to the post office (It was mid-December and I had to ship something out) and figured I'd pop in and check.
